The Classic Aeron Chair, a now-iconic design, was introduced by designers Bill Stumpf and Don Chadwick for Herman Miller. Almost immediately, it was added to the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art, as it broke every convention in office chair design. Instead of traditional foam padding, the seat and backrest of this chair were made of a breathable woven suspension membrane called Pellicle, which eliminates pressure and heat buildup as you sit. This model also features the industry-first PostureFit Sacral Support, designed to keep the seated spine in healthful alignment and combat fatigue.

Guided by a height-weight ratio, Herman Miller recommends the Size B for people between 5'5" and 6'2" in height and weighing between 150 and 230 pounds. The Classic Aeron Chair Size C provides optimal ergonomic support for people taller than 6'2" and between 230 and 300 pounds, with an adjustable lumbar pad.

The patented Pellicle woven suspension textile weaves together two unique materials with elastic properties, making the seat and backrest flexible and breathable for enhanced comfort without the need for padding or traditional upholstery. The Kinemat tilt mechanism allows the chair to move with your body, with pivot points aligned with the hips, knees, and ankles for a natural recline motion.

This model features a tilt limiter with seat angle adjustment, fully adjustable arms, adjustable lumbar, a graphite base and frame, black armpads, and carpet casters. As an open box item, it is out of the original packaging and discontinued by the manufacturer.
